Year 5/6!

Meet our Team:

Dosbarth Mars-Jupiter-Saturn are Year 5/6 classes taught by; Miss Purcell, Mrs Stevens and Mr Dowsett.

They are supported by Mrs Jones, Mr Tolley, Mrs Williams and Mrs Cornelius.

Our exciting topic for this term is... ‘Make Do and Mend’.

This term, our pupils will be learning all about World War Two.

They will explore how the war began, what life was like for people on the Home Front, and the experiences of evacuee children.

The children will have the chance to look at artefacts, listen to wartime music, and discover how rationing changed everyday meals.

They will also create their own propaganda posters and write diary entries in role as evacuees.

This topic will help pupils to understand the impact of World War Two on everyday people and let them reflect on the importance of peace today.
