Ambitious and Capable Pupil Voice Group – Summary 2025-2026

The Ambitious and Capable Pupil Voice Group works to promote high standards, independent learning and a love of learning across the school in line with the Curriculum for Wales.

This year, our main focus has been improving pupils' recall of key maths number facts.

To support this, we launched Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) throughout the school and organised a whole-school Rock Star Day, where pupils dressed up and took part in exciting class competitions.

The group has also taken a leading role in promoting literacy by helping to launch and celebrate World Book Day across the school.

In addition, members have championed STEM education, communicating with staff to encourage the planning of a dedicated STEM Week and supporting opportunities for pupils to engage with science, technology, engineering and mathematics throughout the curriculum.

Through these initiatives, the group has helped to develop pupil leadership, raise engagement and encourage all learners to become ambitious and capable individuals.
