Objectives Autumn term 2024:
To develop our school learning powers- mascots
Assemblies to teach the children about the learning powers
Start Young Bronze Sports Ambassadors scheme
To oversee Children In Need fundraising
Organise Christmas class colour hamper raffle.
Raise money for the Dolpa Orphanage on Christmas Jumper Day
We met several times over the Autumn term to streamline the learning powers and choose those that we thought were the most important. After deciding on our learning powers we then had to design a mascot for them. We loved a superhero theme to link in with the word POWER. However, we needed to change our Attendance Hero mascots so people did not get confused. Mrs Martin held a competition for a new attendance mascot and we were able to finalise our superhero designs with logos!
We have had a series of assemblies explaining the learning power of perseverance. We will be introducing the other powers in the coming weeks.
We have also been busy organising and promoting our Children in Need fundraising in which we raised £367. We also held a Christmas Jumper day that raised £70 for our friends at the Dolpa Orphange in Nepal.
