We are very grateful to the Community Recycling Scheme (info below) for donating a sail shade to the school.  We hope to have this installed in the next couple of weeks ready for the summer.

    Community Recycle Scheme

This new scheme donates second-hand, overstocked and end-of-line equipment to schools across the UK. A range of items has already been given away, including shade sails, post pad protectors and colourful fence pales. The full range of items can be viewed online, where requests can also be submitted. Several companies are involved with this initiative, including A&S Landscape who work with schools, builders & architects, and commercial end users to provide bespoke canopy solutions.

  • Children in Need 2022

    Thu 24 Nov 2022 Rosie T, Isla D, Mrs R

On Thursday 17th November the whole school celebrated Children in Need.  All the children wore something yellow for Pudsey bear. In the weeks leading up to Children in Need, we had special assemblies learning about how Children in Need supports welsh young carers and the children's hospice Ty Hafan in Cardiff. There was fun across the school. Some classes made Pudsey bears from the coins they collected, others had penalty shoot outs and football fun and others designed posters for Pudsey and had fun in-class games. The school raised over £200 for Children in Need. Well done everyone! Bendigedig!

Dosbarth Mercury even had a visit from PC Chris to talk about the 'sticks and stones' story.

We also learnt about Rosa Parks in Dosbarth Neptune.

Dosbarth Venus showed us their colourful odd socks and were very mature discussing some scenarios on 'bystanders/upstanders'.
