Learning Together, Inspired Forever

Year 5/6 Mars

Croeso i Dosbarth Mars

Welcome to Class Mars

Welcome to Mars 25/26! I’m Miss Purcell and we are supported by Mrs Cornelius (TA) and Mrs Jones & Mr Tolley (PPA)

Our exciting topic for this term is..... ‘Blast from the past’.This term, our pupils will be learning all about World War Two. They will explore how the war began, what life was like for people on the Home Front, and the experiences of evacuee children. The children will have the chance to look at artefacts, listen to wartime music, and discover how rationing changed everyday meals. They will also create their own propaganda posters and write diary entries in role as evacuees. This topic will help pupils to understand the impact of World War Two on ordinary people and reflect on the importance of peace today.

Communication

Class Dojo is a brilliant communication tool and used on a regular basis to keep parents/guardians up to date with announcements and messages, as well as posting pictures of classroom activities. It is beneficial that all parents/guardians are set up on Class Dojo. If you require any support with this, then please speak with Miss Purcell.

If you need to contact Miss Purcell, please email purcella27@hwbcymru.net.
